Eastern MedTech is made up of a team of individuals who like to create value in healthcare by disrupting the status quo. Instead of paying attention to our competitors we focus on our customers and what we can do to delight them and create value in the process.
Over the past four decades out management team has been involved in mandating from a regulatory standpoint oxygen concentration monitor on all oxygen concentrators. Early on this forced the New England market to all re-tool their fleet of equipment and create value. During the journey we have used direct to consumer marketing to make the no delivery oxygen model the standard. It started decades ago with combining liquid oxygen with an oxygen concentrator and later adopting Home Fill Oxygen. This caused this to be the standard in New England creating value fort the customers. Really early on we reduced anxiety created with portable oxygen tanks by adopting a simple to use regulator called the CHIPs regulator from Puritan Bennet. People told us it was a bad idea and expensive. In reality it made it easier for our customers to uses their tanks, again creating value and saving the company money even though there was a significant capital investment.
Our founder was the first person in New England to bill both Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA electronically decades ago. Most recently we buried our legacy MIS revenue cycle management system that almost the entire industry uses for a new system called Niko Heath that uses open APIs and an open eco system that allows us to engage our customers like most modern companies. This quester we are in the process of implementing A+I / machine learning technology into our workflow. Healthcare is not a linear process and the AI / Machine learning will compliment our team and make us all better.
We also believe our customers are our best salespeople. We have embraced different channels to market direct to the consumer. If we can delight other companies dissatisfied customers we can learn and improve the entire experience. All the while the delighted customers will tell their providers, family, friends and that is how we grow organically.
Our story is that if a team business and healthcare professionals that understand efficiency, technology, and most of all customer relationships. During this journey we all get really excited when we can use a combination of these tactics to disrupt the industry for the better creating value for our customers. This is what we like doing and will continue to do… it is always a work in progress and we are always improving.
